How to Craft On-Brand Emails

As entrepreneurs, we understand the power of branding. Our company’s brand is reflected in how we run our businesses in traditional and digital way and the email is no exception. A well-branded email can be very impactful for your business. Here are some ways to create unique emails that speak to your audience.

Find your voice: What do you want to talk about? Do you want your content to be informative, entertaining or persuasive? Will your emails be strictly business or will you get personal too? These are all key questions to ask yourself before starting your campaign.

Colors: If you have branding colors, you will want to use those on your email. If you don’t have branding colors, it might be a good time to think about choosing some. Think about colors that reflect your brand and how they will resonate with your audience. Consider messaging and start learning about color psychology. I change the use of my branding colors depending on seasons or upcoming holidays, but sticking with one or two colors for your emails is even easier and more effective. Besides colors, it’s essential to include your logo, website and social links on your branded emails.

Time: How often will you send emails and when will you send them out? I send my newsletter every Friday morning, but that can be a lot for many people. I usually recommend to my clients to start bi-weekly. Think about your timing for your emails. The email marketing platform, Flodesk provides the best times for morning, afternoon and evening but it can vary for each business and its audience. You know your audience better than anyone, so think about when they will most likely engage with your emails.

I hoped this provided some guidance to help start or enhance your email campaign! I’ve found that my emailing efforts have brought a lot of engagement and interest from my audiance. I really think it will do the same for you and your business! If you need some help getting started with email marketing, please reach out to bayrockdigitalmarketing@gmail.com to learn more!
