Prioritizing Digital Marketing Tasks
The world of digital marketing can be overwhelming. It can be challenging to understand what tasks need more of our attention. If we attack the endless list of objectives, we can lose sight of what really brings results. But how do you not only know what’s important but follow through with it? Here’s some ways to do it.
It helps to write our tasks in a place where we can see and remember them. Think of this like a brain dump at first. For some people it may be digital while others pen and paper. I suggest writing all the tasks that come to mind and either circling or numbering the most important ones. Try to organize it by dates of when it needs to be accomplished-seeing it helps.
Try breaking down the tasks into smaller pieces. For example, saying you need to work on SEO is too broad and overwhelming. Rather, write down steps of what you need to do to reach that goal. It may be need to add titles, remove spammy links, add keywords to the body and set your site up for Local SEO. Write it out so you can see how to get to your bigger objective.
Be realistic about what you can accomplish. Challenge and motive yourself to reach goals. On the other hand, don’t write down too many objectives that are just going to set you up high stress levels. Understand how you work and what time you have and base your “to-do” list on that. You want organizing your tasks to help you not further stress you out.
